Used Cadillac in Houston

Q: I want to get a good used Cadillac in Houston. What should I get?

A: Yeah, I got a used Cadillac in Houston because new they are WAY too expensive. When you wait a few years you can get a much nicer car than you would normally be able to afford, which is great. Since a used Cadillac in Houston would be a luxury car, though, you have to be more careful what you get, since they’re built for people who have the means to get a new car every few years and aren’t built to last as much as the cheaper ones.

I would recommend the used Cadillac in Houston CTS-V, one of which I’ve had for several years. It drives well and it has a powerful engine, plus it’s well designed, and it has a few more years of use in it. It hardly ever has mechanical problems, and it’s just really reliable all around for a used Cadillac in Houston .

I went to my Houston Cadillac dealer in search of a car that drove and looked good at the same time, and I found the CTS-V. It’s kind of pricey, coming in at around fifty thousand dollars, but from the couple of months that I’ve been driving it I have to say that it’s well worth the money.

The only problem I get from this car from my Houston Cadillac dealer is the steering, which is a little harsh. Aside from that, though, the drive is very enjoyable, and the comfort is great, so it’s something you hardly even notice.

I needed an SUV, but not one of this annoying tin SUVs that are all over the market these days. I needed a big, powerful SUV, so I checked out my Cadillac dealer in Houston and found the 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV, which perfectly fit my desires.

The engine isn’t afraid to run with more power than the usual, it’s a really well performing V8. This SUV from my Cadillac dealer in Houston is so big that it fits nine people and still has plenty of room for luggage and other things that you need to put in your car. It turns tight on corners and rides safe and silent on the highways as well as in the city.

Reader’s Question:

They said that if you have a low credit score, your car insurance rate will be high. Is that fair?

Jose

Houston Texas

According to the Federal Fair Reporting Act, yes it is fair.

Not all car insurance company use credit score to determine your car insurance rate though. Each insurers differ in their ways of determining your rate.

What you can do anyway is to be sure that the insurer has your correct name, address and social security number. The last thing we want to happen is to be mistaken for someone else that has a bad credit standing. It is wise to provide more proof of your financial fitness since every discount can really help a lot in lowering your insurance cost.

If you want to get affordable car insurance, here what you can do to improve your credit score and of course get affordable car insurance.

  • Always pay your bills on time.
  • It is best if you choose EFT or electronic fund transfer as a means of paying your monthly vehicle insurance to avoid lapse with your payment.
  • Avoid having lapse in your car insurance policy.
  • Check your credit score to see any incorrect data or information and try to fix it now.

Save Money On Cadillac Auto Insurance

Reader’s Question:

Is it true that you can save money on auto insurance if you pay your car insurance in full? Would it matter if my car is a Cadillac?

James

Houston Texas

Yes its true. It is not a secret that the best way to to save money on auto insurance is to get the best discount, choose the right coverage and look into your vehicle type. What some of us did not know is that more savings are hiding in the payment you make every month.

Insurance providers charge you to make payments. When you make a payment in full there is even a discount with some insurers that is above and beyond that extra charge for making payments. You can at most up to around $84 on payment fees plus an extra 10% or more for making a payment in full. Thats a big savings!

It can be hard to look for ways of obtaining that much money all at once to pay your auto insurance premium in full, even if you know it is the way to save on auto insurance. You may consider saving some of your tax return you have during the year and placing it into an auto insurance payment. You can place that fund with your monthly car insurance payments if you want to and you will notice that it will be a lot less than what you used to pay for your car insurance.

Reader’s Question:

I want a BIG car to drive around Texas. The Escalade is definitely not on my list. Please share your thoughts on the Cadillac DTS.

Michael

Houston, TX

Hello there, Michael! I am pretty sure that you are one of those guys whose stars are rising on the horizon. I do think that you’d want to shine bright with something that says, “I’ve arrived, but I’m still coming and going” on a daily basis. Not as flashy as a sports car but commands respect like Mafia don, that’s your 2009 Cadillac DTS. It would be great to see you behind the wheel of a DTS in Texas.

Several people do cite the DTS as the heir to the DeVille, which was a Cadillac’s answer for the need of Americans to have a big, luxurious car. I have to agree with the advertisement of Cadillac that with all your hard work, why get inside a cramped auto? So, what will you enjoy with the DTS, Michael? As a standard, the three trims of the DTS come with a Northstar V8 engine. The V8 and Platinum trims have their 4.6 L V8s pumping out 275 horsepower while the Performance trim gives a higher value at 292 horsepower. All have the Hydra-matic automatic transmission so you know that driving it won’t be a complicated experience. There is also Stabilitrak, an electronic system that helps you handle the car, to keep you on the road whenever you drive in your DTS through difficult curves. And if you don’t feel like driving all the way, there’s also an option for cruise control. But with this fantastic machine, I suggest that you keep the driving to yourself. If you’d wish, you can also check out the different options available at your local Cadillac dealer.

Reader’s Question:

I’ve seen that in other auto-makers that they have, like, special sporty editions of their cars. I rarely see these around my neighborhood in Texas. I’d like to know more about them if there’s anything available.

Sonny

Houston, TX

Hi, Sonny. Yes, the people over at Cadillac did build cars that match your description. I think you will be amazed to check out the V-series cars from Cadillac. Just imagine the following cars: the XLR, the CTS and the STS, all given that extra-special touch to make sure they are genuine stylish major machines on the road.

Let’s just breeze through each one, and I’ll leave the rest to your imagination. Better yet, schedule yourself for a test drive at your Cadillac dealer in Texas, so you won’t have to use too much brain cells imagining.

Let’s start with the baddest of them all, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. Imagine trying to control 556 horsepower from its 6.2 liter supercharged V8. I bet that you’d feel like a pilot raring to take off to 60 mph at 3.9 seconds. Too sporty for you to handle? Let’s go a notch down the tachometer with 2009 Cadillac STS-V. With its 469 horsepower 4.4 liter supercharged Northstar V8, you will still get a rush in 4.8 seconds of 0 to 60 mph action. Still interested? There’s one more baby on the block. I think this one combines the speed, power, and handsome good looks on four wheels. Well, I am talking about the Cadillac XLR-V. I simply love the looks on this Cadillac roadster. Of course, the 443 horsepower V6 is not half bad. Oh, I forgot to tell you. They all look awesome in black.

Reader’s Question:

A friend of mine suggested that I get a CTS for myself to use here in Texas. He kept bragging how powerful the thing was, and I’m already convinced that it is because of him. I’d like to find out what other features are there in the CTS.

Reggie

Houston, TX

Hi there, Mr. Reggie! Your friend was definitely right in pushing you to grab a CTS for yourself to drive around Texas. You should enjoy the rush of the 3.7 Liter V6 engines on these things. Just to add information for you. A standard model CTS gives you 262 hp while the direct injection model generates 302 hp. You can choose between manual-transmission or Hydra-matic transmission systems. To further enhance your driving experience, the CTS also has Stabilitrac, a computer controlled stability control system.

If you’re wondering what you’ll find inside the cabin, you will be amazed as well to find several interesting features. Available as an option, there is Bluetooth integration for your mobile phone. No need to hold the phone when receiving a call while driving. The sound system is more than great if you get an option to add the Bose surround sound system. You can also get the sound system with the option for a hard drive where you can store about 40 gigabytes (translated as: a lot) of music. There is also an available option for an electronic navigation system that’s most likely connected to a satellite map service. The device plots for you the directions, so you get to where you want to go without making wrong turns.

Best move is to schedule for a test drive for you to verify what you know about the car. Happy driving, Reggie.

Cadillac Escalade Hybrid Houston Texas

Reader’s Question:

I’ve always been fascinated by the Escalade whenever I see one on the streets. However, I’m wondering if there’s an Escalade hybrid, is there one? I’m sure the people in Texas would love to see more of these driving down the street than purely gasoline-fed models.

Owen

Houston, TX

Good day, Owen! I am in complete agreement with your statement regarding having more hybrids around our state. Let there be more Escalade Hybrids in Texas. Lesser emissions mean clean air and a better environment for the generation that will follow us.

After I first read about the Cadillac Escalade, I already appreciated its features as an SUV. That was until I found more about the Escalade Hybrid. The Escalade Hybrid maintains pure SUV power characteristics, as Cadillac claims it can still tow 5,800 pounds. After all, it still has a 332 hp 6.0 liter V8 engine that kicks up 367 lbs-ft torque at 4,100 rpm. I agree with the Cadillac people. These things you won’t expect from a hybrid. I am also fascinated with the technology applied on the Escalade Hybrid. There’s regenerative braking, a system that charges up the battery. There are two electric motors that run the car in low power situations and when more power is needed the gasoline engine helps the car move along. And when real muscle is needed, the car automatically switches itself to pure gasoline engine mode. When it’s at a full stop, the gas engine shuts off to limit emissions. With these systems in place, the Escalade Hybrid’s EPA ratings reach up to 20 to 21 miles per gallon on city and highway drives, respectively.

Reader’s Question:

Escalade, Escalade, Escalade. Would driving this car give me more “street cred” here in Houston, Texas?

Frankie

Houston, TX

Why, Frankie, the Escalade will give you more than “street cred” in Houston, Texas. The Escalade is definitely more than just a souped-up Tahoe. That’s why you see the car in a lot of movies. Before you go to a Cadillac dealer, let’s go beyond the bling, alright?

If we talk about the 2009 model, I’m particularly excited about the Escalade hybrid that can do about 20 miles per gallon. Considering that this thing is an SUV that packs a 6.0 Liter V8, that is definitely worth looking at. Safety features are also important to me, and Cadillac put in a lot of really good features like OnStar. With the OnStar system, you will be sure that you have protection even in cases of emergencies. If you get into a super fender bender, the emergency response system on OnStar gets you 911-like assistance right from your car. Of course, the Escalade comes with all the necessary airbags. You’ll also get a voice-activated phone system in your car; that’s already doing a lot in terms of safety on the road. For luxury, I think the 5.1 surround sound system should be enough to let you know how delightful driving can be when you are inside an Escalade. I think these should be more than enough than “street cred.”

Have fun driving the Escalade, Frankie.

Cadillac CTS Dealership Houston Texas

Reader’s Question:

I saw a Cadillac CTS the other day here in Houston, Texas and my girlfriend had to close my mouth to stop the drooling. Loved how the car looked. Care to tell me more about the car? I’d like the “ins” more than the “outs.”

Steve

Houston,TX

Hey, Steve-o, I drooled, too. Kidding aside, I do think you don’t have to think hard about the Cadillac CTS. I’ve seen some on the road and saw one in display. You’ll be sold as soon as you step inside your Houston, Texas Cadillac dealer. I will show you some points that will make you feel that you made a great choice.

First, let’s get started with the style of the CTS. Cadillac, in my humble opinion, still rules in the style and appeal section. The CTS is a marriage of style and rugged looks that makes it a true sport sedan. Then if we look under the hood, and go through the different trims available, you’ll expand your choices. Your options for an engine can either be a 3.6 Liter V6 VVT or a 3.6 Liter DI. Comparing horsepower between these two, the 304 hp at 6400 rpm from the Direct Injection engine rules it over its variable valve timing (VVT) brother by 40 hp. There’s also more torque for the DI variant. Standard transmission for these cars is manual but there’s an option to go automatic. I love how the 2008 CTS handles; curves are not an issue with the car. As far as interiors and creature comforts are concerned, I’d say that it’s pretty much standard in what you’ll find in cars today. You will get navigation, a decent stereo system, power seats, just to cite a few. Anyway, Steve, I do hope you finalize your plans to get a CTS. You won’t regret it.

Reader’s Question:

I am ready to sell my SUV and get a new one here in Houston, Texas. What Cadillac SUV would you recommend?

Samuel

Houston, TX

The new 2009 Cadillac SRX is really a perfect choice. You can enjoy the driving dynamics of a luxury sedan together with its all weather capabilities and space functionality of an SUV. It can seat in a maximum of seven passengers and the cargo area works perfect for hauling cargo in it. It comes either on a rear wheel or 4-wheel drive.

The Cadillac SRX features a quick acceleration, shard handling and high performing brakes that is great for a sporty and enjoyable driving experience and a quiet ride. Talking about its interiors, it has luxurious leather upholstery which is very stylish and comfortable. The flat cargo floor suits this SRXZ dog car. There are two engine options for this Cadillac, the V8 and the V6. These engines feature the latest technology as well as electronic throttle control and four overhead cams with fully variable valve timing. With high performing engines, the SRX has a superb performance even during cold icy drive around Houston, Texas.

I used to own one of these SRX before I moved out to Irving. I find the vehicle really efficient and reliable. Aside from the features I mentioned, this Cadillac comes handy with an affordable insurance that I found on this website. You can check their quotations and have the best SUV that you can have.

2009 Cadillac Escalade Houston Texas

Reader’s Question:

I finally got my last paycheck from my employer and I already have enough funds to get the Cadillac Escalade here in Houston, Texas. Can you give me brief description of the Cadillac Escalade and when would it be available in the market?

Penny

Houston, TX

According to recent buzz around automotive community in Houston, Texas, the 2009 Cadillac Escalade will go on sale this summer. It would be available with the rear or 4wheel drive. The Escalade won’t be offered on the long wheel base (Escalade ESV or Escalade EXT) sports utility truck. It would only be offered with the standard length. The Cadillac Escalade has a two mode hybrid system which works very well with the Vortec 6.0 V8 with the company’s new Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT) in which it is equipped with 2 electric motors and 4 fixed gears. The V8 engine also has Active Fuel Management system, which stops the 4 cylinders during light load driving to conserve fuel and energy. The 2 modes comprise mainly of hybrid power train aids, during light and highway driving.

I was able to do a test drive on the Escalade sometime last month and was really impressed about how it was packaged. It guarantees a 50% increase in terms of fuel economy when I drove it around Houston, Texas and at least a 25% increase overall. With light throttle, it can go up to 30 mph and automatically shuts down the engine during stops to conserve fuel. Although I have not seen the fuel economy estimates yet, I still give my recommendation to the new Cadillac Escalade. I have seen it being sold at more or less than $60,000. Insure it up with a reliable insurance coverage. Check some ads on this page for free quotations.
