The new 2009 Cadillac SRX is really a perfect choice. You can enjoy the driving dynamics of a luxury sedan together with its all weather capabilities and space functionality of an SUV. It can seat in a maximum of seven passengers and the cargo area works perfect for hauling cargo in it. It comes either on a rear wheel or 4-wheel drive.
The Cadillac SRX features a quick acceleration, shard handling and high performing brakes that is great for a sporty and enjoyable driving experience and a quiet ride. Talking about its interiors, it has luxurious leather upholstery which is very stylish and comfortable. The flat cargo floor suits this SRXZ dog car. 2009 Cadillac Escalade Houston Texas
Reader’s Question:
I finally got my last paycheck from my employer and I already have enough funds to get the Cadillac Escalade here in Houston, Texas. Can you give me brief description of the Cadillac Escalade and when would it be available in the market?
Penny
Houston, TX
According to recent buzz around automotive community in Houston, Texas, the 2009 Cadillac Escalade will go on sale this summer. It would be available with the rear or 4wheel drive. The Escalade won’t be offered on the long wheel base (Escalade ESV or Escalade EXT) sports utility truck. It would only be offered with the standard length. The Cadillac Escalade has a two mode hybrid system which works very well with the Vortec 6.0 V8 with the company’s new Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT) in which it is equipped with 2 electric motors and 4 fixed gears. The V8 engine also has Active Fuel Management system, which stops the 4 cylinders during light load driving to conserve fuel and energy. The 2 modes comprise mainly of hybrid power train aids, during light and highway driving.
I was able to do a test drive on the Escalade sometime last month and was really impressed about how it was packaged. It guarantees a 50% increase in terms of fuel economy when I drove it around Houston, Texas and at least a 25% increase overall. With light throttle, it can go up to 30 mph and automatically shuts down the engine during stops to conserve fuel. Although I have not seen the fuel economy estimates yet, I still give my recommendation to the new Cadillac Escalade. I have seen it being sold at more or less than $60,000. Insure it up with a reliable insurance coverage. Check some ads on this page for free quotations.
Cadillac Eldorado Houston Texas TX
Reader’s Question:
My dad will turn over his Cadillac Eldorado to me by the end of this month here in Houston, Texas. I am pretty worried about its engine performance since he had used this car for more than 3 years. What are the main engine features of this coupe?
Jerle
Houston, TX
Cadillac has been renowned for producing high end and top quality cars. One of their major launches when it comes to Coupe cars is the Eldorado. It was launched way back 2002 and comes in 2 models, the ESC and the ETC.
Both coupes share the Cadillac’s 4.6-liter, twin-cam Northstar V8 engine. As I can remember, it was an upgrade from the 2000 model which features lower emissions, silent operation and it is capable of running on regular fuel. Its ETC is tuned to give more power and aggression. Each model is equipped with four speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting. The engine produces 275 hp at a whopping 5600 rpm and 300lbs ft of torque at 4000. Since the Etc is created as a performing coupe with a much more aggressive character, it produces 300 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 295 pounds-feet at 4400 rpm.
The Eldorado is also fully packed with all the luxuries that Cadillac offers. Having it for 3 years might make a difference, but if your dad has not done any upgrades or updates yet, the Eldorado will work perfectly fine and one great car to own. Should you decide to change the car insurance covering it from the original one that your dad might have, try to browse through this website for more affordable premiums.
